Work Experiences / Areas of Interest

Dr. Brotman is interested in primary care mental health, specifically how to apply broad knowledge of psychotherapy, mental health, and physical health efficiently to improve the mental health of a population, such as Veteran’s receiving care in a primary care clinic. He is interested in the use of mindfulness in psychotherapy and in evidence-based interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Current Clinical Work

Dr. Brotman oversees and provides psychotherapy supervision for psychiatry residents at the Boise VA and teaches didactics. He also works in primary care mental health at the VA.
